Eduvate trained 30 teachers at National Charity Schools in Dubai and Sharjah branches for two training courses (free of cost); the first one aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills in embedding Social and Emotional Learning in the curriculum delivered by our trainer Yara Rouhana,

The second one aimed to prepare them with digital literacy and skills to use AI tools in their teaching practices for a more effective teaching and learning environment delivered by our trainer Elie El Khoury.

These two courses were offered to teachers and head of sections at the National Charity Schools in Dubai and Sharjah branches and are in line with the schools’ improvement plans to:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom climate and cultivate essential life skills that are vital for youth males and females success beyond the classroom, such as self-confidence, self-motivation, goal-setting, and adaptability. 
  • Equip participants with strategies and tools to measure students’ social and emotional skills in different learning environment using the “Big Five Domains” framework to develop learners’ critical thinking, metacognition, and self-efficacy.
  • Increase students’ higher student engagement and  understanding of materials. 
  • Equip teachers and head of sections with the knowledge and skills to effectively navigate and leverage technology in the classroom, preparing students for the digital age and enhancing their educational experiences.
  • Evaluate the potential benefits and risks of using AI tools in education and identify appropriate AI tools to support teaching and learning
  • Use AI tools to personalize learning experiences and provide targeted feedback
  • Monitor student progress using AI and early intervention techniques and promote ethical and sustainable use of AI in education

These two courses had immediate impact on participants’ knowledge and pedagogical skills as it was evident through pre- and post-course assessments. Also, as these courses are in line with the schools improvement plans, it is believed that the impact of this course will be directly reflected through their classroom practices and student level engagement.
