In his latest Think Education podcast, Professor Christopher Hill- Professor at the Faculty of Education at the British University in Dubai (BUID) and coordinator for PhD/EdD programs had an opportunity to talk to Dr Sandra Baroudi – Assistant Professor at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies- Zayed University, Dubai, UAE, and co-founder and CEO of Eduvate, a professional development and training institute for educators and professionals – and learn more about female leadership in higher education and the value of peer mentoring and representation.
Sandra, an expert in the field, offered her considerable insight on contextualizing teaching and learning in the Arab world and offered practical examples on areas of focus for teachers. Hence, the role of Eduvate experts and program designers in contextualizing the training courses that they offer by taking into consideration the cultural values and traditions, the social and the linguistic characteristics, as well as the unique needs and challenges, of the Arab region. Therefore, Eduvate contextualized training courses ensure that the content is relatable and meaningful to foster a sense of belonging and engagement among participants.
